ALWAYS LOOK BACK

Just the other day I was on my way to the country side of the state of Utah. On the passenger seat I was admiring the stunning landscape on the way and came up to this point of the road. 
Thoughts ran through my mind and I decided to take a picture to remind me that often times it's needed to look back. We always have to look back on our journey in this life.
I have been taught to never look back whenever leaving a place, person or situation that causes you to hurt, but the truth is, if you never look back you'll never know how far you have gone. You'll never know how different things are and hopefully they have changed for the better. The danger of never looking back is that you may repeat the same mistakes over and over and that's fine as long as you don't repeat them getting yourself stuck in the same place, with the same person to hurt you in the same way...
Looking back doesn't mean you want to go back, looking back can be your reference point. Where you've been, what you've learned and where you heading to. 
Just like this picture hit me to the core that day; the past looks so small when you look back. it looks so tiny that you can hardly see it. Instead you look the the sides, see the big picture around you and how blessed you are for breaking free from the past leaving behind all the anger, all the resentment, all the tears and pressing forward. Always learning from the past but never settling in it.
